Kris Barker is a registered landscape architect, a L.E.E.D. certified designer, and a member of American Society of Landscape Architects. She received her Masters in Landscape Architecture in 1996 and served as a faculty member in the Department of Landscape Architecture at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona from 1997 to 2003, specializing in sustainable design methods and theory. Kris has worked in award winning landscape architecture firms in both Los Angeles and Chicago, regularly collaborating with architects, urban planners and interior designers. From 1999-2003 Kris was a founding partner of FPS Studio in Los Angeles before moving to Chicago in 2004.
Her experiences in the field of landscape architecture range from conservation projects for various non-profit organizations, designs for large institutions and luxury resorts, and highly detailed gardens for residences throughout the United States.
