Outdoor family room

This project began as a very small back yard with a big vision. Our client wanted an outdoor room where family could hangout, cook and dine all summer. The renovation focused on the most efficient use of space possible. A raised planter serves as both a screen from neighbors and seating along one side of the dining table. An outdoor kitchen accommodates a BBQ, sink, storage, countertop space and a ‘U-shaped’ structure from which to hang lights and grow vines. Because being together and hanging out was the goal, the focal point of the space is a fire bowl surrounded by a comfy furniture. What better way to bring family together?
